Best places to visit in Miami after getting high

Aerial view of Miami’s skyline glowing at sunset with colorful lights reflecting on the water, capturing the city’s lively vibe.

If your strain is getting you in the mood to do something spontaneous, you are definitely going to want to check this list out!

Whether you're looking to take a break from the chaos of the city, or want to find amazing electronic music to dance your heart out, we have something for every kind of mood with this selection. Not only that, but we have found the best of the best to experience while high.

So without further ado, we present the top parks, restaurants, bars, and clubs to experience after getting high in Miami.

The best parks

If you consider yourself an outdoorsy person but don't like to be thrown into the wild, then you are going to love the following suggestions. They aren't as intense as, say, hiking up a mountain, but they are just as breathtaking.

We tried to keep the park suggestions diverse and unique, so if by "park" you're thinking of a block of garden in some neighborhood, then think again. These parks elevate outdoor recreation, and you won't want to miss them.

So, here is our pick of the top five parks in the Miami area to enjoy after getting high. Remember to take water and sunscreen wherever you decide to go! And enjoy!

Monkey Jungle

Turquoise water and waterfalls of the Venetian Pool framed by coral rock and tropical plants in a peaceful, vintage setting.

This conservation and observation park is one of the most interesting in the Miami area. Why? Well, it's filled to the brim with monkeys!

This park opened its doors in 1933 and is now home to more than 500 primates of about 18 different species! So, enjoying this 30-acre natural masterpiece will definitely be a unique experience.

The best part of all is that the monkeys and apes roam freely, and the trails in which humans can explore the facilities are caged. So, for those of you who don't like going to the zoo because it saddens you to see the animals' living conditions, Monkey Jungle will be like a breath of fresh air.

There are four main attractions in this park, so you can see these and other wild animals up close and personal. And we recommend you take your time visiting each area.

The first is the Wild Monkey Swimming Pool, where you can see Java Macaques in their natural habitat. Then you can visit the Cameroon Gorilla Forest and see some huge silverback apes. Don't get too friendly though, they are wild animals after all.

You can also enjoy the Wings of Love exhibit, a sanctuary for rescued birds and parrots. But what we recommend you don't miss is the guided tour through the Amazonian Rainforest where they have a wide range of monkey species, from Capuchin to Howler. There you can even take pictures with them.

This is a really unique experience and one of our favorite places from our selection. So don't miss out on the opportunity to pet a monkey; just make sure he doesn't take your pre-roll!

Venetian Pool

Turquoise water and waterfalls of the Venetian Pool framed by coral rock and tropical plants in a peaceful, vintage setting.

This amazing park will transport you to Venice and make you feel like you flew halfway across the world for this destination! Its waterfalls and lush greenery will definitely give you those "living your best life" vibes.

This pool complex first opened in 1920, and that old vintage vibe has definitely permeated the whole park, giving the sensation that you're in another time. The former coral rock quarry became one of the hottest places in Miami to take a break and relax.

It's such a hot attraction that it can get quite crowded, so we recommend you get there early or call ahead of time to check capacity.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is something you aren’t going to want to miss! And while the beach coast and on-land nature trails are beautiful, the real show is underwater!

This park's main attractions are the stunning marine wildlife and coral reefs, and the statue of Christ that can be found 25 feet underwater! You can visit the corals by snorkeling, scuba-diving, or renting a glass-bottomed boat.

After enjoying your high safely on land, you can take a dive and explore the mesmerizing reefs that Key’s coast has to offer. Or simply relax in one of the hammocks strung along miles of trails in some of the most scenic areas in the country.

Equipment is available for rental there, and you can expect to pay an $8 fee per admission. It is only open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., so be sure to get there early and enjoy the day!

Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park

This park doesn't have a big attraction like the others on our list. But it is stunning nonetheless. We loved this project because it was named after Elain Gordon, a feminist political activist, who did a lot for her community.

This park is not only stunning, it also has sculptures and art that reflect society’s ever growing evolution. It is actually the home of the first LGBTQ sculpture, and tons of other art whose intent is social commentary.

If you do decide to visit this park, keep in mind that it’s open from 7 am to 5 pm. We recommend you take a blanket and some munchies and have yourself a picnic. You won’t want to leave!

Jungle Island

Lastly, but definitely not least, we have Jungle Island Park, located in the center of Miami! This amazing park is one you are going to absolutely love! They have tons of on-land and aquatic activities, and you’ll surely need the entire day there to see and experience everything!

Take the time to visit their amazing wildlife exhibits, given that they have in their care a few of the most exotic and rare species of animals known to man. And if you’re not really an animal person, you can enjoy their scenic waterfalls and learn more about the tropical trees surrounding the region.

You can even have contact with the animals and experience a real-life jungle adventure with a group of friends. And be sure to enjoy their water experience as well! The view alone from the waterfront jungle is something that will make you feel even higher than you already were.

Keep in mind that Jungle Island isn’t open Monday and Tuesday. You can visit the park from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. They charge an admission fee of $49, but we assure you that it’s worth every cent.

The best munchies

For these top picks, we tried to keep all budgets in mind! From fine dining experiences that you can experience in other-wordly interiors to fun and original food trucks that have become tourist destinations, anything you try from these restaurants is sure to make your taste buds dance.

And we all know that there are very few things in this world that match better with cannabis than food! So, if you get those raging munchies and feel like going out to experience a really great meal, we recommend these gems!

Mareva 1939

Mareva 1939 isn’t only stunning to look at; their Spanish cuisine is one of the best in the Miami area. So if you’re a taco fan, check this place out! The best part of all, is that their prices are really accessible!

The really unique thing about Mareva is that it has a sharing menu, meaning they serve the food family-style, at the center, for everyone to share! This means you don’t have to get overwhelmed with choosing one specific meal; you can simply sample a few.

Their Spanish food will have you licking your fingers by the time you’re done. One thing to keep in mind before visiting Mareva is that the minimum age for entry is 14. We suggest you book a table and get a peak at their menu before going.

Jealous Fork

Stack of golden pancakes topped with blueberries, syrup, and ricotta on a rustic wooden table, ready to satisfy the munchies.

Jealous Fork is definitely one of our favorites on this list! Their pancakes are so mouth-watering that they are actually award-winning!

Their ingredients and combinations are simply out of this world, which makes them the perfect selection for one of the best munchies in the Miami area! These pancakes are truly unique and extremely creative!

You can try The Jealous Burger, which has smoked gouda, pickled onions, tomato-poblano jam, and a hand-made sesame bun; or The Lemon Curd and Blueberry, which has homemade lemon curd, blueberries, blueberry syrup, and ricotta.

We guarantee that for less than $20, you will have a religious experience when you try these porn-worthy pancakes! But hurry, the last call is at 5 p.m.

Le Chick

This cozy, late-night spot is perfect if you get your hits in at night! Their menu is the perfect "munchable" combination of casual yet unique and exciting! They also pride themselves on their 100% organic and grass-fed, free-range, menu.

Their food isn’t the only thing worthwhile, though. They also have really stunning cocktails, and you can enjoy some really great music! You and your friends are going to love Le Chick!

House of Food Porn

The house of food porn, simply put, makes its name proud. It is actually one of the most exclusive dining experiences you can have in the Miami area, given that they are a book in advance, no menu, 12 seat restaurant.

The chef prepares something different every night based on the Amicasa cuisine, and it never disappoints. If you’re a fan of oriental cuisine in general, we recommend you make an appointment to visit The House of Food Porn ASAP!

This restaurant is a bit more on the luxurious side, so make sure you check out the prices ahead of time. And we suggest you get there with a raging case of the munchies! You are going to want to try everything!

Bacon Bitch

For all you brunch lovers, Bacon Bitch is something you are not going to want to miss. They have been serving classic American breakfast options since 2017, but they always put a twist on the OG menu options!

You’re also going to want to take your camera, because this place is one of the most instagrammable brunch options in Miami! They have interior seating and a terrace overlooking South Beach, Miami.

So if you’re in the mood to do a little Sunday wake, bake, and brunch, this is the perfect place to do so! Also, who doesn't love bacon? The owners at Bacon Bitch certainly do, that’s for sure!

The best Bars/Clubs

Lastly, if you’re the kind of stoner that likes to get down on the dancefloor or simply enjoys talking to friends over some amazing cocktails, we have got you covered! Yet again, we tried to keep every budget and taste in mind.

These are the best bars and nightclubs to enjoy after getting high. You will definitely feel like you’re not in Miami anymore with any of these options. We guarantee that they will transport you to other worlds, so enjoy!

Onyx Bar

This bar is in one word: iconic. Afterall, this bar is inside Gianni Versace’s former mansion, the same place where the renowned fashion designer was shot and killed in 1997.

This bar is not just a normal bar, it’s a destination! The lucious italian-designed interiors mixed with the Mediterranean exteriors will make you feel like you’re really living a fashion icon’s best life.

Since the Versace family moved out, it was turned into a boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar. It’s glamor, on glamor, on glamor, so save this destination for when you’re feeling fancy. This might be the sort of place for a special occasion even.

The Onyx Bar is actually a six-seater bar, so yeah, exclusive. If you ever feel like living that type of experience though, we recommend you call ahead of time and make a reservation.

Grails

We couldn't have a top bars list without at least one sports bar, and Grail has got to be one of the best! Some people actually say that it isn’t just a sports bar, it’s an experience.

That might have something to do with the really impressive assortment of artisanal beers and hand-crafted local beers that are only available at Grails! They also have shareable meals you can enjoy with your group of friends while watching the game on the big screen!

Their "Miami Vice"-inspired patio is also something you are going to want to Instagram the heck out of. You can also choose to sit inside in the "sneaker-themed" lounge area, which is also worth a few pics.

They even have rare sneakers on display and really unique art all over the place. Grails also allows events, so if you’re looking for a cool spot to have your birthday party or bachelor or bachelorette, this might be a good idea.

Whatever you do, don’t miss their happy hour! Also, find out ahead of time which games will be projected on their 70-inch screen!

The Basement

Neon-lit dance floor at The Basement nightclub, buzzing with energy under colorful lights and a DJ booth in the distance.

This place is no doubt one of the top places to have fun on our list! It’s not only a bar and a nightclub; it also has a neon-bowling rink, an indoor ice-skating rink, and one of the most out-of-this-world dancefloors out there!

Some of the top names in electronic music have performed here, so get ready to dance till you drop! They even have two bars and a VIP bottle service experience. You know, so you don't get thirsty.

What else is there to say? The Basement has entertainment pouring out of its doors! So, what are you waiting for? Get your pre-rolls ready and prepare to have a killer time!

E11even

E11EVEN isn’t only one of the top nightclubs in Miami, it’s one of the top nightclubs in the country! The best part of all is that this 13,500-square-foot megaclub is open 24/7!

Yeah, that’s right! If you find yourself in a desperate need to dance at 10 am on a Tuesday, you can go to E11EVEN. This place does get really wild though, so if you’re more of the casual bar type of stoner, we don’t recommend you give this nightclub a try.

This place is also known for its extremely diverse crowd. It isn't rare to find celebrities here, as Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jenner, and Porter have all been seen partying at this infamous Miami nightlife destination.

They have non-stop record-breaking DJs, topless dancers, acrobats, high-flying shows, and huge light spectacles. To say the least, E11EVEN is a sensory orgasm for the eyes! So, if your sativa hits you just right, check this place out!

Do not sit on the furniture

Do not sit on the furniture. This isn't an instruction, it’s a nightclub! This spot located near the beach is decorated to the tee and will make you feel like you’re in an old-timey speakeasy! Which, let’s be honest, has a really sexy vibe to it!

You are going to want to Instagram every corner with their stunning decor and other-wordly art pieces. You can even expect a giant, glowing, flying saucer as a light fixture! It’s kept crowded and dark for a reason!

If you love house and techno electronic music, you need to visit this gem that’s owned by renowned DJ and producer, Behrouz, and Electric Pickle’s Will Renuart. This place is for all of the stoners with "underground sensibilities" and no interest in bumping into celebs, given that there are no VIPs allowed!

This place is one of the coolest in Miami, so consider heading here after enjoying your day at the beach and having some fun with your friends! It’s an experience you won’t likely forget!

Conclusion

If you’re tired of staying in and just watching a movie after getting high, we recommend you try any of these really fun and engaging activities.
